His career of public service included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Solicitor, Cairo Municipal Court&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Judge, Cairo Municipal Court<\/li>\n<li>Georgia State Representative<\/li>\n<li>Georgia State Senator<\/li>\n<li><strong>Judge, Georgia Court of Appeals (1952-1963)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Judge Ira Carlisle&#8217;s eleven years on the Georgia Court of Appeals represented the pinnacle of a career devoted to justice and public service.
